In Den znany Absolyut Bank the Information Security Center starts

The Nvision Group company completed the project of creation of command center of information security within information infrastructure Absolute of Bank.

Tasks and requirements

The complexity of the project consisted in a geographically-distributed structure of the IC of bank (more than 20 branches), existence of a large number of non-standard data sources and high requirements to a system on fault tolerance.

Implementation

As the solution the product of ArcSight company - ArcSight ESM was applied. It allowed the customer to solve the whole range of problems, including to provide monitoring of security of the applied systems, services and to implement function of collecting of data from all necessary sources of events (infrastructure and network equipment).

The command center events of cybersecurity allowed Absolute of Bank, without loading communication channels between branches, to organize data transmission in the center of processing and gave the chance to implement an adequate role model of access for administrators and operators of the applied systems to collected events of information security, results of work of rules of correlation.

Results

As a result, at Absolute of Bank there are opportunities:

• the uniform protected storage of all events of information security;
• correlations of all events of information security;
• detection of incidents of security in real time;
• timely response to security incidents;
• perform the retrospective analysis of the detected incidents.

The customer is satisfied

The head of department of access control of Information Security Service of JSB Absolyut Bank Ltd Alexander Yuryev noted that as a result it was succeeded to create really failsafe information system which is reliably protected from the different information attacks. For large bank it is very important to provide uninterrupted service of the clients as the costs connected with failures in network functioning with emergence of threats of data loss and with lack of availability of critical services become more and more notable. Project implementation allowed us to increase service quality of our clients, he emphasized.

The vendor noted complexity

Yokhim Kekhn, the sales director in Central Europe of ArcSight, noted that on complexity and volume this project can be carried to one of the largest projects on creation of SOC systems (Security Operation Center) in Eastern Europe.
