In Russia, with its scale, the problem of communication coverage of many remote regions is still acute. It is especially difficult to solve the problem of providing communication of remote sections of roads, since it is extremely difficult and expensive to conduct electricity there. In my experience, there was an attempt to hold a competition for cellular coverage of the Kola highway. The venture was disrupted due to the fact that in order to provide the necessary installation points for base stations of mobile communications with electricity, the costs amounted to many hundreds of millions of rubles and significantly exceeded the costs of communication equipment directly.

In addition to providing remote places with cellular communications, an autonomous complex can be used to power emergency response systems, for example, during prevention. forest fires At the same time, the low power consumption of the base station Internet of things can significantly reduce the cost of the entire system.

Another common solution - installing a separate base station with a diesel generator - does not stand the competition. Such an installation requires constant maintenance and regular overhaul, in addition, there are cases of theft of generators and fuel drain. For remote sections of roads, such a decision becomes unacceptable.

In serial production, capital costs for the installation of the complex pay off on the horizon of 4-5 years, the institute's employees calculated. The complex practically does not require maintenance and is protected from unauthorized access: batteries and control equipment are underground in a special caisson, solar panels are anti-vandal, video surveillance and alarm are installed on the "tower."

In addition, the operation of the entire complex is controlled by a specially designed for this, software which regulates the power generated and consumed by the complex of electricity and, for example, can disconnect, if necessary, individual sectors of base stations.

The complex is a designer - depending on the tasks, on the climatic and geographical characteristics of the region, different configurations and horizontal design can be used, when the payload is hung on a regular pole, and solar panels are placed on the ground. There is a solution, including for the northern territories: other structural parts, lubricants, a different ratio of solar panels and wind generators are used for them.
