2022: Put-to-light solution announcement for fast order picking

LogistiX, a Russian developer of professional warehouse, transport, production management systems on the LEAD platform, and FIRST, an international supplier of complex solutions for equipping warehouse and production premises, presented a Put-to-light solution for quick picking of orders. The hardware and software complex is flexible in installation and scaling. This was announced by LogistiX on September 29, 2022.

Put-to-light/Pick-to-light is a sorting technology that helps make the configuration process fast and error-free. These systems will be most effective for warehouses with a large range of warehouse items (pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, stationery, spare parts, etc.) and intensive piece picking.

The Put-to-light system consists of a storage module that is equipped with backlit displays. When you read the barcode on the item, the indication indicates where you want to place the item. Thus, a warehouse employee will be able to quickly and without errors distribute goods into cells, while selecting an article for several orders at once. The analytical system will report a complete error and will not allow you to take an incorrect product. For additional control, strain sensors can be used.

Pick-to-light has a reverse process. The light indicator shows the places from which it is necessary to select the goods, the scoreboard with the quantity tells you exactly how much to select, and the confirmation and correction buttons allow you to quickly confirm the task or register a deviation.
