2022: Display Announcement

Wide Slidable and Vertical Slidable screens were originally shown on Samsung's smartphone in May 2022, but this is the first time the company has demonstrated retractable display technology on a large device such as a laptop.

Choi said the Intel CEO saw this display during his trip to South Korea in May 2022 and instantly saw the potential, and added that it was a great example of the "future of PC."
