2022: Gazprom Neft's digital seismic twin ranked among the best developments of the year

Gazprom Neft won the Best Solution Using Digital Models and Predictive Analytics nomination for the innovation competition for the oil and gas industry. The competition was held as part of the federal forum Smart Oil & Gas 2022 in St. Petersburg.

An innovative system for planning and monitoring geological exploration was developed by specialists from Gazprom Neft and the IT company LANIT-Terkom. The Digital Seismic Twin provides real-time access to summary data from exploration projects. The program includes predictive and video analytics, risk analysis, a recommendation system, and mapping operations.

Gazprom Neft Digital Seismic Twin Among the Best Developments of the Year

Gazprom Neft has been using development since 2020 in all exploration projects. The program has already collected data on 800 objects of the company, on the basis of which algorithms select the optimal solutions for studying promising areas.

In the future, the developers will expand the functionality of the digital twin: it will add control over the implementation of Green Seismic environmental seismic standards at Gazprom Neft assets, planning and monitoring unmanned geophysical research.
