Rostec has handed over a turnkey GPA-4RM unit at the Novatek gas field

2022: Preparation for operation of the GPA-4RM at the Syskonsyninskoye gas field

United Engine Corporation Rostec prepared for operation a gas pumping unit at a gas field Novatek Khanty-Mansiysk in an autonomous region. GPA-4RMP was created to increase profitability in production low-yield depleted and small-scale deposits. Rostec announced this on October 7, 2022. GPA-4RMP combines the advantages of a piston compressor and a gas turbine engine, and therefore is suitable for production at low-yield fields, where blue fuel comes under low pressure and centrifugal gas turbine units cannot operate. Thanks to it, production at such facilities becomes more cost-effective and economically feasible.

The equipment uses special technical solutions that make it possible to conduct profitable gas production in small and depleted fields, increasing the efficiency of using natural resources. As of October 2022, the GPA-4RMP has passed all tests and is ready for operation at the Syskonsynya gas field of NOVATEK, "said Oleg Yevtushenko, executive director of Rostec State Corporation.

Low-yield fields are characterized by a drop in formation pressure. Unlike centrifugal gas turbine units, the GPA-4RMP is capable of operating in such conditions. In addition, this unit can operate in a wide temperature range and at high gas pressure, and therefore it is used, among other things, in underground gas storage facilities (UGS). In September 2022, UEC completed preparations for testing three GPA-4RMP units to fill the Kaliningrad UGS.

The successful creation of an effective combination of fundamentally different types of equipment in a single unit is an exclusive development of the United Engine Corporation. Due to its manufacturability and versatility, GPA-4RMP is in demand on the Russian market and has a high potential for import substitution in fuel and energy complex projects, "said Andrei Vorobyov, General Director of UEC Engineering LLC.

2021: Delivery of GPA-4RM to Syskonsyninskoye gas field

The unit was delivered to NOVATEK's Syskonsynyinskoye gas field in 2021.
