The product Steelhead Mobile 3.1 is constructed based on the solution Riverbed for increase in productivity of mobile employees and includes a number of improvements thanks to which the enterprises can implement modern technologies, without reducing productivity of users. The new version will allow the enterprises and government structures to optimize performance of virtual desktops of Citrix, the main corporate Microsoft applications and protocols for connection of mobile employees. Besides, Riverbed presents the first solution for optimization of the WAN mobile networks for the enterprises which mobile staff use notebooks of Apple.

Optimization of performance of virtual desktops of Citrix

Performance of virtual desktops in WAN network is limited to capacity of communication channels and cross-network delays that in turn imposes restrictions for productivity of end users. Steelhead Mobile 3.1 helps to increase performance of solutions of Citrix for mobile employees. At the same time, thanks to advanced functionality of Steelhead Mobile of the organization can fully feel advantages of implementation of Citrix due to simplification of system configuration. • Safe optimization of Encrypted MAPI: In the Exchange 2007 and 2010 servers the Microsoft company included enciphering by default therefore administrators should select between security and performance. The solution Steelhead Mobile 3.1 optimizes the encoded MAPI traffic of mobile employees, improving response time of a system by 45 times. Riverbed simplifies a problem of ensuring high performance in regional offices and for the mobile employees using enciphering of mail traffic in the work.
