Compiere

Compiere is the ERP system with open source codes for the enterprises of small and medium business. Compiere is considered unofficial it is considered the leader among open ERP systems. In August, 2008 the InfoWorld magazine awarded Compiere with the prize "Bossie Award" in the "World-best ERP Solution on Open Source Codes" nomination.

In September, 2007 Compiere developers stated that they of updating (Service Pack) will provide only for paid subscribers of times in 1-2 months, the free version will give all the best once a year. Such situation did not suit developers who were a part of community and therefore the free version of Compiere was selected in the separate open ERP product ADempiere. Split between the main developers and community, in fact, happened earlier.

Compiere includes the following functional units:

Compiere is provided in four editions: Community Edition (once a year is updated), Standard Edition, Professional Edition, Cloud Edition (are delivered for a fee, have regular updates, are provided through partners). The functionality of Community Edition includes only basic ERP functionality and "thick client".
