On October 24, 2022, TrueConf announced the development of a software and hardware complex for automating meeting rooms and office spaces - TrueConf Coordinator. The solution will allow replacing foreign solutions Crestron, Extron, QSC and AMX on the domestic market, the delivery time of which has increased by more than a year, and the price has increased by 30% compared to the same period in 2021.

First of all, this is due to the constant increase in the number of online events and the need for optimization and automation concomitant processes.

About 87% of meeting rooms in the country do not have centralized controls, which makes it difficult for users to manage audio, video and other equipment during video conferencing and hybrid events. So during VKS sessions in large conference rooms, additional devices are required that allow you to switch images from cameras, use the clock, adjust the volume of audio solutions and perform other tasks. Maintenance and operation of such devices requires companies to constantly attract IT specialists, individual improvements and additional costs.

The experience of TrueConf engineers with AV equipment from Russian and foreign manufacturers will allow modifying the Coordinator software system for each individual project, taking into account individual customer requirements, the peculiarities of office premises and the previously purchased fleet of audio and video devices of Russian or foreign production.

The software part of TrueConf Coordinator can be deployed on one or more related devices (touch tablets and personal computers), which is convenient when holding large-scale online events, when you need to use a team of IT specialists to manage a large amount of equipment.

Using TrueConf Coordinator as a central element instead of Crestron or Extron will allow you to control almost any AV equipment and smart office devices available in the room thanks to built-in support required protocols:

• Zigbee - for smart home devices
• VISCA IP, PELCO-D/PELCO-P - for PTZ cameras
• RS-485,232 - for congress systems
• IP - for AV equipment

The current version of TrueConf Coordinator supports the following functions:

• Controls the guidance of the PTZ camera in manual mode by configuring presets, as well as automatically when the microphone is activated.
• Adjusts the volume level of each audio device.
• Echo and noise cancellation settings.
• Selection on the video matrix of inputs for capturing or outputting images from a PC, SIP/H.323 terminal, main or preview channel of a video mixer, as well as any other source of video provided by the project.
• Distribution of audio streams, for example, from a congress system to a PC, and then to speakers. This switches when the order is changed.
• Support for picture-in-picture mode, which allows you to display both layout with participants, presentations, videos and other graphics during a video conference.
• Control any additional equipment in the room thanks to the support of smart office technologies: lighting systems, air conditioning, smart sockets, motorized curtains and other specialized devices.

Another serious obstacle that Russian companies face when equipping their conference rooms is the departure from the domestic market of many foreign AV companies, including Logitech, Sennheiser, Poly and Jabra.

Therefore, TrueConf Coordinator is adapted to work with CleverMic, a manufacturer of AV equipment that ensures the further operation and availability of its solutions in Russia. This will allow Russian customers to digitalize and automation of office premises without the use of devices of foreign production, which is relevant in the conditions of sanctions and the course for import substitution.

The need for a domestic system for automating meeting rooms and office spaces appeared long before the imposition of sanctions in 2022. And during the implementation of the project itself, it is necessary to lay down the work of the system integrator on setting up equipment and developing an individual interface, which adds 2-3 months to the total project implementation time.
