2022: IT Infrastructure Starts
The Holy Spring water production plant in the Moscow region laid the foundation for IT infrastructure. On October 27, 2022, IT company CROC announced the laying of a structured cable system (SCS) and other utilities at the production site for the reliable functioning of all services and divisions of the bottled water and soft drinks manufacturer.
The plant will produce 1 billion bottles of water annually. The project envisaged not only a short implementation time, but also the use of non-standard solutions taking into account the technological features of the facility.
The plant is designed taking into account the installation of high-speed lines for the production of water and drinks. During the installation and start-up of the equipment, the requirements and scope of work for the deployment of the IT infrastructure were adjusted. CROC technical specialists began with a study, on the basis of which they prepared working documentation and selected the optimal technical and design solutions. All engineering objects are interconnected, so an integrated approach was required to plan their structures and locations.
{{quote 'It was very important for us to prepare the plant for launch in time, laying a reliable IT foundation that will ensure efficient and sustainable production of clean drinking water for residents of the Central region of Russia. To do this, we attracted the CROC team, which was able to implement all the necessary work in a short time. At the same time, it was necessary to take into account all the technological features of the facility, for example, cable-carrying systems were installed on the structures of the production lines themselves, which were complex installations in themselves, - commented Ivan Chuikin, Information Technology Director of IDS Borjomi Russia & Belarus. }}
The drinking water market is promising, therefore it attracts both new players and motivates existing companies to expand production facilities and implement investment projects in this direction. For the successful implementation of the strategic tasks, manufacturers need a reliable IT partner who has experience in conducting large complex projects, as well as a wide portfolio of import-substituted solutions, which is important in the current conditions of leaving the usual vendors from Russia, "said Alexander Eder, director of business development in the agro-industrial complex of the IT company CROC. |
After careful study of the project, CROC engineers installed a structured cable system, multimedia equipment for meeting rooms, as well as full Wi-Fi coverage in office, warehouse and production premises.
Workplaces in the plant sectors (office, warehouse, production sites, etc.) assumed different constructs and different technical solutions. Design repairs and a large number of meeting rooms were envisaged in the office premises, so it was necessary to accurately determine the places for future ports in advance, some of which were in floor columns requiring point inter-storey crossings. The installation of Wi-Fi networks took place in empty warehouses, so it was necessary to provide for the distribution of the signal at the future maximum load of the warehouse with materials and objects that prevent its free distribution.
During the implementation of the project, the scope of work was revised and increased several times. However, all additional requirements were promptly implemented, as a result, the team successfully completed the project on time. According to our customer, our great advantage was the connection of workplaces and the launch of their functionality long before the entire facility was ready, "said Pavel Khvostik, director of corporate clients at CROC IT company. |
