The SM-Clinic company spent about 200 million rubles on the modernization of its laboratory and diagnostic center. This was announced on November 1, 2022 by representatives of the SM-Clinic to Zdrav.Expert.

As part of the move to a new building with a total area of ​ ​ 1850 sq.m., the equipment park was updated and the laboratory was optimized due to competent zoning of production processes. According to the company's analysts, the renewal of the equipment fleet made it possible to increase the share of automation, which, along with moving to a larger building, will help increase the productivity of the center by more than 2.5 times.

Its own laboratory has been operating on the basis of SM-Klinik for 13 years. During this time, it has become a large laboratory and diagnostic center, the capacity allows for more than 3.6 million studies per year. Over 3,500 types of research are carried out here: from a general clinical blood test to cancer markers, genetic, immunological, hormonal blood tests and other tests.

As explained in the "SM-Clinic," the need to increase the production capacity of the laboratory and diagnostic center was caused by the annual growth of patient flow and the number of laboratory studies.

At the same time, one of the priorities in the work of the SM-Clinic laboratory and diagnostic center is the uninterrupted supply of reagents. The replacement of the equipment of the center, in particular, involved the installation of a track line for automation of laboratory research from Roche Diagnostics Rus LLC, an authorized representative of the manufacturer of medical devices Roche Diagnostics GmbH). The track allows you to process more than 150,000 tests per day and provides opportunities for additional "build-up" of the necessary modules.

Thanks to the automation of processes, the timing of tests in SM-Clinic is minimal: most of the studies are prepared for 1 day, in express mode - about 2 hours. At the same time, the center regularly conducts internal and external quality monitoring, which helps to minimize the risk of errors, the company emphasized.

According to representatives of the SM-Clinic, the expansion of the capabilities of the laboratory and diagnostic center did not affect the cost of research. All tests are available to patients at the same prices.
