2022: Announcement

In early November 2022, Geely and its subsidiary Farizon Auto introduced the Homtruck Cabless Truck unmanned tractor with the fourth level of autonomy and the SuperVAN universal chassis, on which you can build models of different formats, sizes and different types of drive.

The Homtruck Cabless Truck drone will begin delivering cargo at a number of Chinese ports in 2023, and the mass release of SuperVAN is scheduled for 2024. The tractor is completely devoid of a cab designed as an automated driverless HGV for restricted areas such as ports and mining areas will only be sold in China. The radar and a set of sensors from which AI processes data help the drone navigate space.

HomTruck Cabless supports the transmission base and radar/sensors of the original HomTruck, but this time it is designed for closed environments such as logistics centers, mines or ports where vehicles must operate on fixed routes. The tractor has a stronger containment to allow sensors to scan the working environment while moving.

Drive-by-wire technology allows you to mechanically disconnect the brakes, accelerator pedal and other transmission components from the car body. According to the developers, this allows Farizon Auto to create additional models on the same platform.

Unmanned tractors until 2030 will be the most popular transport on the market, according to Geely. The company's management believes that the development of unmanned vehicles is just beginning. Before self-driving cars reach a wide range of consumers, they will have to go through many improvements and undergo a large number of tests. In the long term, Farizon Auto is also targeting sales growth in the markets of Japan, South Korea, the Middle East and Southeast Asia, where the company has already started selling cars.^[1]
