Reconstruction of substation of 220 kV Dagomys is conducted since October, 2008. So far on a power facility two autotransformers with a total power of 400 MVA are installed, the all-substation operations control room is constructed, the complete distribution gas-insulated device (KRUE) of 220 kV is mounted, modern devices of relay protection and antiabnormal automatic equipment are installed. Until the end of 2010 on substation batteries of static condensers, the automated information measuring system of commercial electricity metering (AIIS KUE), gas-insulated switches will be installed.
The substation of 220 kV Dagomys with a transformer capacity of 275 MVA is put into operation in 1966. It provides power supply more than 200 hotels and health resorts of Lazarevsky District of Krasnodar Krai. Also the power facility feeds substations of 220 kV of Psou and Settlement which are intended for power supply of 243 Olympic venues under construction.
