67 buses on a leasing basis will be transferred to Sberbank to the North Ossetian carrier Avtocolonna 1210. The lessor was SberLeasing. The equipment will be used on inter-municipal and inter-district routes. Sberbank announced this on November 23, 2022.

The transaction amount amounted to 828 million rubles, the contract was concluded for 62 months. The project will be funded by a targeted subsidy from the RSO Government.

On behalf of the Head of North Ossetia Sergei Menyailo, active work is underway in the republic to create transport planning documents. We are talking about improving the quality of passenger traffic and the integrated development of transport infrastructure. And thanks to the mechanisms for supporting Sberbank, we will be able to significantly update the fleet of passenger vehicles on favorable terms. Until the end of 2022, 65 of 67 leased cars will arrive in North Ossetia. We plan to continue to work closely with Sberbank, actively using the mechanisms of its socially oriented projects for the development of our republic, said Murat Aguzarov, First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania.

The project is carried out using an escrow account. This mechanism will make it possible to secure budget funds aimed at paying off lease payments from the misuse of subsidies.

Sberbank, together with the Government of North Ossetia, is implementing projects in the field of digitalization of the republic, improving the quality of life, and updating infrastructure. Modernization of public transport is an important component of the development of the region. We actively cooperate with carriers in terms of ensuring non-cash fare payment. As of November 2022, 60 boards have already been connected to the service, and the number of non-cash payments in public transport of the republic breaks records every month. The renewal of the bus fleet will be the next step to improve the quality of life in North Ossetia, noted Amiran Levitsky, manager of the North Ossetian branch of Sberbank.
