2022: Completion of tests of the mixing-charging machine SZM-16
The Krasnoarmeysky Research Institute of Mechanization (KNIIM JSC) of Rostec State Corporation has completed acceptance tests of the SZM-16 mixing and charging machine, which is capable of replacing several pieces of equipment for transporting and mixing components of industrial explosives. During the tests, six charges were manufactured and successfully blown up. The development has already interested mining companies, its mass production is planned to begin in 2024. This was announced on November 28, 2022 by Rostec.
Components of explosives for blast operations, industrial and hydrotechnical construction for safety reasons are transported separately and mixed immediately before filling into wells. SZM-16 is capable of "taking on board" up to five components of explosives with a total weight of up to 16 tons. Using only one machine instead of several pieces of equipment significantly speeds up work and saves money.
The production of mixing and charging machines will make it possible to saturate the Russian market with domestic equipment and replace foreign manufacturers who have left the country. Successfully tested SZM-16 is a completely domestic development and in its characteristics is in no way inferior to imported samples. Orders have already been received from large mining companies, the start of mass production is scheduled for 2024. According to preliminary data, the need of Russian companies for SPM is 25-30 units per year, "said Oleg Yevtushenko, executive director of Rostec State Corporation. |
SZM-16 has automated control system from CNIM with pressure, temperature sensors, interlock and reverse system. communications Also, especially for this machine, the company has developed dosing pumps with reduced dimensions.
It is always interesting to hear the feedback of specialists who directly operate the equipment. We are open for discussion and ready to meet the wishes of customers. Before launching into mass production, we will take into account the proposals of colleagues to improve the design of the MPS, for example, for operation in harsh conditions of Siberia and the Far East. The machine was originally designed with the possibility of refinement for the needs of a particular buyer and is relatively easy to adapt. So, it is possible to install a chassis on various models, - commented on the results of working out the machine, General Director of KNIIM Sergey Korobkov. |
In the near future, KNIIM JSC will launch a project to further expand the line of drilling and blasting equipment: plans include the production of SPMs for the simplest industrial explosives with a carrying capacity of at least 15 tons, SPMs for emulsion explosives with a carrying capacity of at least 10 tons, as well as delivery of emulsion and floating ammonium nitrate with a carrying capacity of up to 20 tons.
