Izhora Plants (SPb): implement PDM and synchronize with ERP

Izhora Plants and the companies SAP also T-Systems completed project works on synchronization of systems PDM and SAP ERP in production process.

Project environment

Specialization of Izhora Plants - engineering and production of the long-cycle equipment with a difficult production cycle for the nuclear industry and a petrochemical complex. Production time of such equipment can make up to three years, including installation, warranty and post warranty service. A system should provide necessary control and accounting at all stages of contract performance on production of similar products, increasing operational efficiency, standardization of processes and improving customer service.

Singularity

The uniqueness of the project consists in successful synchronization PDM- systems Intermekh and SAP ERP and creation of the single interface between two software products.

Creation of this interface allowed to receive uniform reference books of materials, jobs, transactions of technology process and to automatically create networks of production orders, using the PDM system of data on structure of products and technology processes. It is designed to provide coordination of design-technology data with quantitative indices of material costs and regulations on technology transactions with quantitative indices of labor costs that in turn allows to plan correctly actual costs at all stages of a production cycle, considering material, production and labor resources.

Result

The PDM system allows to react quickly to all changes in design-technology documentation and to execute balancing of capacities, scheduling of the production program and materials requirement planning.
