2022: Platform Launch

On December 7, 2022, it became known about the launch of the Prog.AI platform, which helps find programmers using software code analysis. This is a project of Orb Intelligence founder Maria Grineva and her partners.

We analyze, mark and index each open source participation and create co-author profiles with detailed technical skills. We have raised a preliminary round and start with a recruiting case. Our goal is to study others, for example, to assess the influence of the contributor in the project, to understand who is who in the community with open codes, to understand the trends of macro technologies... what else? "I'm glad to talk," Grineva wrote on her Facebook page (owned by Meta, which is recognized as extremist and banned in Russia).

A platform for finding programmers has been launched in Russia

Prog.AI analyzes, marks and indexes each open source participation, then the platform creates developer profiles with detailed technical skills. The selected specialist can be contacted by email using platform templates. The first month of work on the platform is free, then - $699 per month.

According to the Prog.AI website, the platform analyzed the source code of the software of 30 million developers worldwide, and they were estimated at 50 thousand programming techniques. Developers who entered the project database can be found by using a search by skills, location, level of programming and place of work.

We want to answer questions, for example, who is the key participant in the project, what part of the project they were responsible for, what libraries they used, what the quality of their code is, who they cooperate with. GitHub does not provide this, it is a platform for hosting git repos, it is focused on projects, and not on the people who are working on them, - explained Maria Grineva.[1]
