Almazergienbank has upgraded its network infrastructure. Within the framework of the project, seamless migration to a fault-tolerant network was implemented. The project was carried out by the IT company Jet Infosystems, which announced this on December 12, 2022.

A few years ago, Almazergienbank launched initiatives to digitalize its business and large-scale reorganization of its own. As IT infrastructures part of these initiatives, Jet Infosystems also provided bank data center up-to-date solutions for integrated monitoring - IT infrastructure on Open Source platforms Zabbix and Grafana.

The next step of the modernization was a project to update the network infrastructure, which is the basis for the uninterrupted operation of IT systems. Previously, it was built on heterogeneous equipment, and its architecture did not meet the current requirements of the bank in terms of scaling.

IT specialists have updated the network equipment in all branches of the bank and transferred the operation of the data transmission network to the BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) routing protocol, which allows the bank's IT service to flexibly configure and expand the network infrastructure and serves as the basis for further network scaling.

Specialists of the company "Jet Infosystems" not only redesigned the network, which architecturally did not allow us to grow, but also laid solutions that fundamentally remove any difficulties of scaling, - comments Alexander Kostin, head of the information technology support department of Almazergienbank JSC.

A feature of this project was the seamless migration. The specialists of Jet Infosystems, with the support of the customer's IT service, carried out all work at night. time This approach avoided failures in branches during working hours, and the bank's customers did not notice the company's transition to new equipment.

The project also introduced solutions for encrypting traffic between branches and the bank's data center. In this way, secure data exchange is ensured in accordance with Russian law.
