2022: System Announcement

In mid-December 2022, it became known about the creation at Tomsk State University of radio electronics and control systems (TUSUR) of a monitoring and emergency warning system about the condition of patients. This technology, according to its creators, will be able to increase the speed of response to crises in heart patients and reduce the risk of deaths.

The Tomsk Research Institute of Cardiology conducted the first testing of a monitoring system for cardiobolic patients

According to the head of the TUSUR project Anton Konev, the Tomsk Research Institute of Cardiology has already passed successful tests of the system. It consists of wearable bracelets with sensors and a Bluetooth module, several devices for collecting and transmitting information covering the hospital territory, and a common server. All software was developed by TUSUR specialists specifically for the needs of cardiology departments.

Now we are faced with the task of expanding our system beyond the hospital or department - for this, we add geo-positioning and connection based on Bluetooth networks. GSM Such a system will be able to be implemented on a city or district scale and at the same time will require a smaller number of intermediate data collection nodes, which is very important in the context of a shortage of affordable microelectronics on the market, "Konev said in mid-December 2022.

According to the developers, it is extremely important that the resuscitation team immediately has an accurate understanding of where the patient is and what is the optimal route to him - within, for example, the wing or building of a large hospital. According to university experts, the system has no direct analogues with the geo-positioning function by December 2022.

Another area of development of the new system, according to scientists, is the optimization of the wearable device itself, the search for the most economical and effective layout of sensors and microchips on the bracelet.[1]
