In INTER RAO UES software implementation of the analysis, forecasting and management is complete

A year ago JSC INTER RAO UES and STINS COMAN Ltd signed the contract for implementation of a hi-tech system on management of portfolios of trade contracts, a trading activity of the generating assets and commercial risks.

Today the project is complete. The companies reported about it.

Plans and calculations

The project was expected a year and directed to high-quality improvement of planning and forecasting of a trading activity.

As a result of project implementation JSC INTER RAO UES will receive the integrated software of assessment of commercial risks, formation and optimum control of a trading portfolio of export-import transactions and the generating assets at trade in the electric power and power in the internal and foreign markets.

Vendors and software

The software has no analogs in Russia. It is adapted to conditions of the Russian electricity market and power and considers features of tasks of JSC INTER RAO UES in the field of export import of the electric power.

The system developer, implemented in JSC INTER RAO UES - the Austrian company iRM/OpenLink. iRM takes the leading positions in the area, working in many countries of the world and, together with OpenLink, renders services and delivers software for more than 150 energy and financial companies worldwide.

Results

The IRM company announced implementation of the solution iOPT in JSC INTER RAO UES. Implementation was complete according to the diagram and without exceeding of the budget.

By means of this optimization solution of JSC INTER RAO UES will improve quality and automation of the business processes, in particular, in such spheres as:

• planning and forecasting in the help of adoption of trading solutions
• optimization of operation of the generating equipment
• automation of preparation of requests RVS and VSVGO
• optimization of operations on export/import of the electric power
• management of portfolios of agreements and market risks.
