2022: Vizard-meteo spacecraft completion announcement

On December 26, 2022, Sitronics announced that SPUTPS was completing the assembly of a spacecraft for NIS LLC called Vizard-meteo. The nanosatellite is planned to be launched into orbit to monitor oil and petroleum product spills in the Arctic zone, as well as predict the development of the situation on the Northern Sea Route.

According to the company, Space-Pi is a federal scientific and educational project for students and schoolchildren, organized with the support of Innovation Assistance Fund (FSI) within the framework of the Planet Duty Officer program. Its goal is to introduce schoolchildren and students to the study of space and space technology. Within the framework of this project, the FSI plans to create about 100 small spacecraft for various purposes.

= told Sergey Zubkov, General Director of WIZARD LLC ""|Part of the Space-PI scientific and educational project is the VIZARD.Space satellite constellation, which consists of small spacecraft for various purposes, providing the data solved by our company remote sensing of the water surface and atmosphere, as well as monitoring the movement of ships and dangerous ice formations. The first stage of the creation of the constellation includes the launch of three satellites of the CubeSat-3U format. The first spacecraft Vizard-SS1 launched into orbit in August 2022. The satellite provides AIS vessel monitoring.}}

Students of the capital's gymnasium, together with specialists from NIS LLC and VIZARD LLC, within the framework of the federal Space-Pi project, will receive data from space and learn to analyze them to make forecasts.

By participating in this project, we have at least two goals. The first is educational. By attracting schoolchildren and students to space technology, we are preparing future specialists who will then come to work with us. And secondly, this is a practical story: the development of the Northern Sea Route depends on the safety of the transport corridor connecting the country's Far East with its central part. Our developments can provide this security for caravans of ships providing dozens of regions with basic essential goods.

The tasks of launching the Vizard-meteo nanosatellite were told in NIS LLC.

As of December 2022, the second nanosatellite of the group, Vizard-meteo, is being tested. As a payload, two Earth remote sensing cameras are integrated into the nanosatellite, allowing you to obtain images for monitoring, as well as predict the development of the environmental situation in the water area, and predict the formation of dangerous meteorological phenomena.

The nanosatellite is assembled on the basis of the OrbiCraft-Pro 3U platform, developed by the SPUTPS team, and has dimensions of 10x10x30 cm. Launch into orbit is scheduled for the first half of 2023.

Earlier, SPUTPS has already participated in the Space-Pi project in the creation and launch of 13 scientific and educational satellites into orbit. The company is actively working in the field of space education and has equipped more than 50 educational and educational institutions of Russia with equipment for teaching schoolchildren and students satellite engineering as of December 2022. The designer of the OrbiKraft satellite is used in universities, children's technology parks, Quantoriums and other educational centers of the country and abroad. It is designed to teach the basics of spacecraft development, design, assembly, testing and operation. The main feature: instead of developing separate systems and delving into their detailed device, the designer suggests focusing on system design of the apparatus as a whole and quick obtaining of the result - a working prototype of the satellite.
