2023: Uniprom PDU Series Introduction

On January 18, 2023, the Russian production company System Electric (Systeme Electric, formerly Schneider Electric in Russia) presented a series of Uniprom PDU rack power distribution units designed to equip the data center infrastructure.

The Uniprom PDU delivers power to the IT equipment installed in the mounting cabinets. The technical characteristics of the devices make it possible to solve the problems of electricity distribution with maximum unification, convenience, reliability, while minimizing the total cost of operation and electricity. Rack distribution units are suitable for both low-power and ultra-dense servers, which require a different approach to the administration and layout of equipment.

Uniprom PDU provides reliability and convenience for users and prevents power utilization, load balance, and socket shortages. Among the advantages of Uniprom PDU:

  • Ability to cascade multiple devices to the same Ethernet port
  • Optional temperature and humidity sensor
  • Availability of a hot-swap controller
  • graphical display with display of parameter group and Russian-language interface;
  • availability of a basic set of interfaces and modern data exchange protocols;
  • the ability to set vertical blocks in face-to-side and face-to-back positions.

The Uniprom series rack power distribution units are represented by three types of devices: Basic, Metered, and Switched. The load capacity of the devices varies from 3.7 to 22 kVA. All devices are made in compact steel cases.
