On January 23, 2023, the American technology company CACI International announced the conclusion of a new contract with the US National Security Agency (NSA) to provide cyber services and security solutions.
Earlier, the NSA signed a $2.4 billion agreement with CACI. The initiative, called FocusedFox, provides the agency with analysts who have a deep understanding of enemy networks, defenses and other aspects of cyber infrastructure exploitation. However, in 2022, this contract was challenged by CACI competitors Booz Allen Hamilton and Leidos. They filed a complaint with the U.S. House of Accounts, saying the NSA did not properly evaluate the proposals. As a result, the agency announced that it would review all projects and make a new decision on the choice of a contractor.
And on January 23, 2023, an official notice was published that the NSA again signed a contract with CACI - in the amount of $284 million. The company will provide cyber engineering support to the NSA's cybersecurity management as the pace and scope of network threats grows. It is assumed that the specialized experience and knowledge of CACI in the field of network protection will help develop solutions for some of the most important tasks of the country's national security. The company, in particular, will help modernize the NSA's system design methods. The contract is designed for five years.
This treaty reflects CACI's continued commitment to supporting the NSA's critical tasks. We appreciate the agency's trust and confidence in our ability to find the right people with the right skills to protect cyber systems from an ever-changing range of threats and to implement advanced solutions, "said John Mengucci, President and CEO of CACI.[1] |
