2023: Using Solar appScreen to Monitor Software Security
Jivo uses a comprehensive software security solution, Solar appScreener, to test its applications for vulnerabilities. The service has introduced the RTK-Solar code analyzer into secure development processes as an automated solution. RTK-Solar announced this on February 7, 2023.
Solar appScreener combines static and dynamic code analysis capabilities to help ensure full security control over applications and information systems. The product is implemented in Jivo as a central element of secure development processes. The Code Analyzer verifies all software developed by the company - both provided to customers and intended for internal use. Solar appScreener capabilities allow you to automatically scan when source code changes and integrate it with repositories, bug tracking systems, development tools, and CI/CD services. Jivo's cybersecurity department analyzes potential vulnerabilities and undeclared capabilities and, if confirmed, passes the information to the development team to quickly correct the identified errors.
One of the priorities of our development is high-quality, fast and safe delivery of new functions to client applications, "said Andrey Savin, Head of Cybersecurity at Jivo. - Solar appScreener allows you to establish a process of continuous scanning of source code for vulnerabilities due to the high scan speed. This has become one of the decisive factors for us in choosing a solution for automating secure development processes. The ease of deploying Solar appScreen impressed us. |
Jivo stressed that the number of supported programming languages has also become an argument in favor of Solar appScreen. As of February 2023, there are 36 of them, the decision of RTK-Solar is the world leader in this indicator. At the same time, Solar appScreener automatically determines in which language the code is written, and can also analyze programs written in several languages at once. In addition, the capabilities of the solution allow you to analyze a mobile application by pointing to it on Google Play. This functionality is also used in Jivo to monitor the security of applications being developed and used.
Faced with a surge in cyber attacks, Russian companies want to be confident in the reliability and security of third-party services that they integrate into their applications, "said Daniil Chernov, director of the Solar appScreen Center of RTK-Solar. - Colleagues from Jivo have previously paid a lot of attention to the security of their decisions. I am confident that the introduction of Solar appScreener will allow them to make the secure development processes established in the company even more efficient. |
