History

The American brand Converse is known in the world primarily for its bright and unusual sneakers. The history of the brand began in the 20th century, when Marcus Mills Converse founded his own company in the United States, Converse Rubber Shoe Company, and began manufacturing rubber-soled shoes.

In 1917, he created the first basketball sneakers called the Converse All Stars. After that, the brand became very popular, and sneakers, marked by a large star, are still the standard of original and comfortable shoes. Interestingly, the brand is iconic not only because of basketball. The story of Converse is inextricably linked to the development of rock and roll. It was sneakers who became an integral part of the free rock and roll image.

More than a hundred years ago, the U.S. Rubber Company developed beautiful, and most importantly, comfortable sports shoes on vulcanized soles. The novelty received the name "Keds." After some time, Converse took up the production of black keds. It is from this moment, that is, from the beginning of the 20th century, that Converse products originate.
