Aviva (Oracle Hyperion)

In Aviva insurance company the project on creation of an analytical data storage on the Oracle Hyperion System 9 platform is implemented. As the partner in implementation the Epam Systems company is attracted. Earlier in insurance company information on partners was stored and processed in different information systems. The complexity of consolidation and information analysis on all partners and the agreements signed with them consisted in different formats of data and also in lack of a possibility of unique identification of each partner.

It demanded development of reference books, uniform for all company, setup of access to them from the staff of different divisions, formation of regulations of updating and maintaining information.

Within creation of the database of partners algorithms of transfer of information from the systems of the company are defined. On the basis of Oracle Data Integrator mechanisms of extraction, cleaning, conversion and data loading of partners to uniform base are developed. For information storage Oracle Database 10g is used.

Development of the data warehouse was performed using software solutions Oracle Hyperion Essbase (storage and multidimensional data analysis), Spreadsheet Add-in (ensuring access to data via the MS Excel).

Further it is going to develop the implemented solution, to connect new data sources for filling of storage, to develop new data marts.
