2023: Accusation of the head of the economic department of embezzlement of 8.4 million rubles

In Norilsk, the court will consider a criminal case on embezzlement of budget funds. This was reported in January 2023 in the press service of the regional prosecutor's office.

According to the investigation, the head of the economic department of the Norilsk interdistrict hospital No. 1, which is located on Ozernaya Street, has been stealing funds from medical institutions for more than five years.

An enterprising employee entered information into the time sheet and payroll in terms of the number of hours worked by two employees. In fact, employees for the position of office cleaners did not exist, as well as the work performed.

Operatives of the OEBiPK OMVD of Russia in Norilsk found that in the period from January 2017 to March 2022, a woman born in 1961, being the head of one of the departments of the city hospital, fictitiously employed two acquaintances as cleaners. In addition, her relatives, who previously worked as a watchman and janitor, actually stopped working, but continued to be listed in the state. The attacker monthly produced time sheets and payroll, in which she entered false information about the number of hours worked, - specified in the statement of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

The suspect took the money to the bank cards of "dead souls," and also used the cards of her husband and son, who previously worked in the hospital. As a result of fraudulent actions, the damage to the state treasury amounted to 8.4 million rubles.

A criminal case has been initiated against an ex-employee of a medical institution under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud). The woman faces up to ten years in prison. Her name has not been revealed. The criminal case was sent to the Norilsk City Court for consideration on the merits. The maximum punishment under this article is up to ten years in prison.^[1]
