On October 20, 2022, the domestic IKSAR software platform was chosen by SPB GUP Passazhiravtotrans as a solution for conducting pilot tests in real conditions at the existing site of SPB GUP Passazhiravtotrans - on the basis of Bus Park No. 1 in St. Petersburg.

The tests were carried out directly on the existing equipment of St. Petersburg State Unitary Enterprise Passazhiravtotrans. All pre-commissioning works, including a brief briefing on the operation of AR glasses and the IKSAR platform, took no more than an hour to conduct pilot tests due to the fact that IKSAR is ready-made domestic software for industrial use. After that, employees of St. Petersburg State Unitary Enterprise Passazhiravtotrans began to independently perform processes in AR glasses with the assistance of specialists from the IKSAR team.

An employee in AR glasses received graphic and text instructions for the action, audio audio prompts on the operations performed, read tags, filled out checklists, entered data, carried out photo and video recording of both the operations themselves and incidents. The voice comments recorded in the course of the actions were automatically converted into text messages when processed on the server side of the platform, with the possibility of later viewing this information in the report on the performed operations.

As part of the indoor testing, low light situations were simulated, as well as work in the immediate vicinity of operating production equipment, which did not affect the quality of perceived commands with smart devices. The steps/instructions and all actions on AR glasses were controlled by simple understandable voice commands in Russian.

A separate block of tasks was devoted to the video communication "IKSAR," which allows not only to work in the already familiar VKS format, but also to connect employees in AR glasses directly from the production site.

An important feature of the IKSAR platform is that the employee could perform all actions (except for video calls) offline.

During the tests, employees of St. Petersburg State Unitary Enterprise Passazhiravtotrans noted the platform's capabilities to integrate with external systems and peripheral equipment, including stationary photo-video recording cameras with the ability to automatically recognize the bus garage number using machine vision technology. All this will ensure a reduction in the time for identifying vehicles arriving from the line to the fleet and the formation of a service history and technical breakdowns of vehicles per shift.

Commenting on the results of tests in real conditions, employees of St. Petersburg State Unitary Enterprise Passazhiravtotrans noted the potential of using the IKSAR platform in combination with AR glasses to reduce the non-core burden on employees (in terms of avoiding the need to fill out paper reports and logs, duplicate data), increase the efficiency and objectivity of processes and results, monitor compliance with safety regulations, and increase the reliability of data received from the site.

The representative of the IKSAR team - Igor Starodubtsev - noted the high involvement of employees of SPB GUP Passazhiravtotrans in the company's production processes and interest in finding promising solutions to improve the quality of service and passenger safety.
