2024: Telephone Network Upgrade
IT company SATEL upgraded the telephone network of PJSC Rosseti Siberia and introduced the unified communications platform RTU into the operation of the energy company. SATEL announced this on July 31, 2024. The project was implemented in two stages: at the first, 8,700 employees were connected to the network, and as part of the second stage, 7,300 more company specialists received access. Thus, 16,000 employees have access to a secure communication network of the enterprise, the technical core of which is 100% Russian development.
The main task of PJSC Rosseti Siberia was to replace outdated equipment, which did not allow for effective and reliable communication between the company's employees. To solve these needs, it was necessary to switch to new communication technologies and create conditions for the further development of the telephony system. To do this, it was necessary to create a single system control center and ensure the transparency of services within a single network. In addition, telephone communication was presented with strict criteria for reliability and fault tolerance of both individual nodes and the entire network as a whole.
The decision of SATEL - Russian Telephone Node (RTU) provided stable telephone communication with advanced functionality for employees of PJSC Rosseti Siberia. In addition, uninterrupted operation was ensured in the event of a failure of the main server equipment, rapid adaptation to the existing IT landscape of the customer, as well as the ability to gradually increase system performance as the load increases.
The RTU-Client mobile application made it possible to organize a single communication space for all employees of the enterprise - both mobile and office. The application includes a set of all standard functions of online communications: chat, video calls, file sharing, forwarding, PUSH notifications.
One of the key advantages of the RTU-Client is the FMC (Fixed Mobile Convergence) function, which turns a mobile phone into a full-fledged office telephone with a short number, free communication within the enterprise and forwarding calls from a multi-channel corporate number. The application has other features. For example, a single employee directory allows you to call colleagues from a mobile phone by dialing an extension number of several digits. It is also possible to connect encryption and record conversations.
In addition to implementing UC digital communications services, we have trained employees to independently support the RTU solution. Access to the technical support portal was also provided, through which the staff of PJSC Rosseti Siberia can ask questions directly to the solution developer, - said Igor Parfenov, commercial director of SATEL. - Given the reliability of development, technical capabilities, adaptability and flexibility, similar solutions can be used to build distributed communication networks of complex topology not only in the energy sector, but also in the industrial, oil and gas sector. |
