In early March 2023, it became known about the murder of the head of the gynecological department of the Artyomovsk City Hospital No. 1, Alexander Olshevsky.

According to the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, on February 28, 2023, in the city of Artem, Primorsky Territory, the body of a 58-year-old man with signs of violent death in the form of stab wounds was found in the apartment. An eyewitness to the crime was the child of the deceased, whom the attacker tied up before committing the crime. During the investigative and operational measures, the identity of the man involved in the crime was established. He has been detained and has already been charged with murder and imprisonment.

According to fedpress.ru, citing the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs, a certain Narek Poghosyan could have been involved in the murder, since the doctor could not help the suspect's pregnant wife - she lost the child.

Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin instructed the head of the regional investigation department to report on the progress of the investigation of the criminal case, and also put his move under control in the central office of the department.

The TFR did not name the murdered doctor. According to a RIA Novosti source in the power structures of the region, the murdered man was the head of the gynecology department of one of the city's hospitals. The Telegram channel of the Artyom city hospital No. 1 on February 28, 2023 reported the death of an obstetrician-gynecologist of the highest qualification category and the head of the department, Alexander Olshevsky. The administration of the institution said that Olshevsky headed the gynecological department for 13 years. His professional experience is more than 39 years.
