2023: Product Announcement

On February 27, 2023, OnePlus introduced the world's first smartphone equipped with a full-fledged liquid cooling system (WCO). The technology implemented in the OnePlus 11 model is called Active CryoFlux.

The developer claims that this system significantly increases the efficiency of removing heat from key components of the device under high loads, in particular during resource-intensive games. In addition, SJO will help reduce the temperature of the smartphone during fast charging.

It is claimed that in modern games, thanks to Active CryoFlux, the temperature of the device decreases by about 2.1 degrees Celsius, which allows you to increase performance by 3-4 frames per second. During charging, the temperature decreases by 1.6 degrees - this reduces the time for complete replenishment of the energy reserve by 30-45 seconds.

From a technical point of view, Active CryoFlux is a system of thin tubes through which coolant is pumped. Ceramic piezoelectric pumps are involved. The area of such micro-pumps is less than 0.2 square centimeters: this allows you to integrate the LCO without a significant increase in the weight and thickness of the smartphone. In the case of the Active CryoFlux, a translucent back cover is used, which allows you to observe in real time the flow of coolant through pipes under pressure created by micro-pumps.

The positive user response is reflected in a 173% increase in OnePlus 11 5G sales and is evidence that we are on the right path to excellence in smartphone creation. This led us to innovate on high performance and also continue to work with leading industry partners to bring technology to life, "said Kinder Liu, President and COO of OnePlus.[1]
