2023: Establishment of a scientific and technical center
The largest scientific and technical center in the Far East has been created in Chita. The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers announced this on March 17, 2023.
The project is being implemented by Vostok GeoService Partner, which is part of the Highland Gold group and performs a full range of geological exploration, research and survey work in five regions of the country.
The Vostok GeoService Partner Scientific and Technical Center is located in Chita on the territory of the production workshops of the former 88 Central Automobile Repair Plant. Thanks to significant investment by the Highland Gold group, it was built within two years and equipped with modern equipment.
The scientific and technical center includes four laboratories: analytical, technological, soil and rock.
The analytical laboratory has state accreditation and performs a full range of chemical and analytical analysis of ore samples, as well as products obtained during technological research. The planned productivity of the laboratory is 350 thousand samples per year and will be achieved this summer.
The technological laboratory using modern equipment allows parallel research on six types of ores with the creation of the most effective technologies for their processing, as well as to study their physical, mechanical and mineralogical properties.
The soil and rock laboratories are equipped with the necessary equipment to support engineering surveys and geomechanical studies.
The scientific and technical center employs more than 120 employees. In addition, the center is actively working with students of the Trans-Baikal Mining College named after Agoshkov and ZabSU, providing them with the opportunity to practice in laboratories.[1]
