At a special event in Abu Dhabi (UAE) in mid-March 2023, Aerwins Technologies unveiled the Xturismo Hoverbike futuristic flying motorcycle. It is assumed that at first this vehicle will be used by emergency services in search and rescue and other operations.

Hoverbike was created by specialists from Bayanat (a subsidiary of G42, an artificial intelligence technology company) with the support of Japanese Aerwins. The Xturismo Hoverbike opportunity demonstration was attended by representatives of the Abu Dhabi Police, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the UAE Ministry of Health.

Xturismo Hoverbike

The flying motorcycle is made of high-strength carbon fiber used in the aviation and space industries. It is equipped with a four-stroke Kawasaki turbocharged petrol racing engine with 230 horsepower. The fuel reserve is enough for about 40 minutes of flight. Four electrically driven side screws are used to control the vehicle in the air.

The Xturismo Hoverbike is capable of flying over both land and water. The Aerwins website says that the novelty can reach speeds of up to 80-100 km/s. The weight of the hoverbike itself is about 300 kg, and the recommended load is 100 kg. The vehicle has dimensions of 3.7 × 2.4 × 1.5 m. It is planned that a flying motorcycle will allow rescue personnel to quickly get to hard-to-reach places, carry out emergency delivery of medicines, etc. It is noted that Xturismo Hoverbike can be operated in conjunction with drones for various purposes. A flying motorcycle may also be of interest to oil and gas companies, defense enterprises and other structures.^[1]
