2023: Industrial tomograph development begins
Smart Engines on March 23, 2023 announced the start of development of an industrial hardware and software complex for next-generation CT. As a result, it is planned to create a completely domestic product that provides increased quality and stability of reconstruction with a simultaneous reduction in the dose load.
A tomographic apparatus manufactured by ELTECH-Med (St. Petersburg) will be used as an experimental base for development. This tomograph provides a great opportunity to modify the hardware during the research process.
Work on the complex is being carried out in collaboration with, Institute for Information Transmission Problems (IPPI) named after A.A. Kharkevich of the Russian Academy of Sciences known for its results in the field of image processing. RAS An experimental tomograph was installed on the territory of the IPPI.
Cooperation between Smart Engines and IPPI RAS in the field of tomography began in 2018. The result of this interaction has already been the regular publication of joint scientific articles.
