2023: Chiplet Production Launch

March 24, 2023 it became known about the production of chiplets in the SEZ "Technopolice Moscow" - microcircuits specially designed to work with other similar ones. This project is being implemented by a resident of the capital's special economic zone, the SpetsElectronSistema research and production center.

On the basis of chiplets produced by SpetsElectronSystems, boards for various electronic equipment will be assembled. Analogues of products were previously purchased abroad. For the production of chiplets, the company's specialists have mastered a complex technological process - the melting of crystals onto the board body with gold wire 18 micrometers thick.

As Andrei Narbutt, director of the company's production complex, explained, the boiling process begins after the crystal is firmly mounted and fixed on the board. A special installation welds thin gold wires, connecting each contact pad of the crystal to the corresponding pad on the board. The procedure is fully automated, and the method used by the company allows over three thousand boiling points to be implemented per work shift.

Earlier in the process of creating microcircuits, systems on a chip purchased from foreign manufacturers were used. The specialists of the enterprise created the design of the product and sent it to a foreign plant, from where they received a ready-made chip. Now the company has mastered the complex technological process of melting crystals and will establish its own production of such elements in Pechatniki, "said Vladimir Efimov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations.

The SEZ "Technopolice Moscow" reported that by March 2023 the company "SpetsElectronSistema" occupies about a thousand square meters, while 700 square meters of them are the so-called "clean rooms." The company operates a specialized automatic control system with visualization and documentation of monitored parameters.[1]
