Russian-Turkish company to build a new terminal at Minvod airport for 14 billion rubles

Mineralnye Vody International Airport has signed an agreement on the construction of a new domestic air line terminal with the Russian-Turkish LimakMaiStroy. The contract value is 14 billion rubles. The press service of the airport announced this on March 28, 2023.

It is assumed that the new terminal will increase the capacity of Mineralnye Vody International Airport to 1000 passengers per hour, and the total annual volume to 3.8 million passengers per year.

The new terminal of internal air lines will be equipped with five telescopic ramps, modern passenger service and baggage handling systems. In addition to the construction of a new turnkey terminal building, the general contractor will lay engineering and communication networks, as well as work on the improvement of the forecourt. Work on the contract should begin in mid-April 2023 and be completed in January 2025.

According to the general director of the airport, Roman Chuev, the terminal, which by March 2023 is used to service both domestic and international flights, will be fully redesigned for international transportation.

LimakMaiStroy is a joint venture of the Russian Marashstroy and the Turkish Limak Group. As the press service of Mineralnye Vody airport noted, the organization has extensive experience in the construction and reconstruction of airport infrastructure. LimakMaiStroy is a contractor for a number of projects in the Russian Federation (airports in Kemerovo, Rostov-on-Don, Volgograd, Khabarovsk, Chelyabinsk, as well as shopping centers and other facilities).
