According to Wildberries, offers of tourist services are presented both in the economy class segment and premium. Russians can book as a budget campsite on Olkhon off the coast of Lake Baikal for 2,8 thousand rubles a day for two travelers, and an authentic room in a chalet with a SPA complex and a bath school near Lake Teletskoye in Altai for 83 thousand rubles, or a ready-made tour with a flight and accommodation in a five-star hotel using the ultra all inclusive system on the island of Samui in Thailand, costing from 318 thousand rubles for 7 nights. You can pay for the reservation both online through Wildberries and calculated on the spot.

Service launch
At the end of March 2023, Wildberries launched its own travel service called "Wildberries. Together." It allows you to purchase rail and air tickets, as well as bus tickets.
As the retailer notes, the travel service "Wildberries. together" shows convenient and profitable routes, offers several alternative options for cost and types of transport. For example, you can get from Moscow to Pyatigorsk on a flight to Mineralnye Vody, and then transfer to a train to your destination or purchase a direct bus route. The new service will allow Russians to fully plan their journey and not waste time looking for and buying tickets on different services, Wildberries said.
We see that our buyers are increasingly interested in traveling in Russia: in March, about 71% of tickets (1% more than in full February) fall on domestic destinations. The most popular among them are Sochi, St. Petersburg and Novosibirsk. That is why we have decided to use our many years of experience and expertise in the development and implementation of new IT tools in order to make tourism more affordable and technological, Wildberries said in a statement. |
According to Kommersant, the Russian online travel agency (OTA) market is experiencing growth by March 2023: having increased its audience due to restrictions on the operation of payment systems in Russia and a decrease in the number of code-sharing flights, they managed to increase their commission tenfold. However, it is much more difficult for non-core players to integrate into this segment, market participants interviewed by the newspaper warn.
One of the sources of the publication in the OTA market suggests that the Wildberries travel project may be seen as a way to stimulate sales in the categories related to vacation and recreation.[2]
