2024: Rostelecom issued digital financial assets worth 1 billion rubles
On May 14, 2024, Rostelecom announced the release of digital financial assets (CFA) in the amount of 1 billion rubles. The Sberbank site was chosen as their location.
As Interfax reports with reference to the press service of Sberbank, the circulation period of Rostelecom's digital financial assets is 3 months, the rate is 16.6% per annum, interest will be paid monthly. The price of one CFA upon release is 1000 rubles.
It is noted that Rostelecom's digital financial assets placed on the Sberbank site will be able to be bought by both legal entities and individuals - qualified and unqualified investors (the latter have a limit on the amount - no more than 600 thousand rubles a year). This release allowed Rostelecom to expand its borrowing infrastructure in the CFA market.
A few months before placing the CFA on the Sberbank site, Rostelecom issued such assets on the Moscow Exchange. Gazprombank acted as the organizer of the initial placement of CFA Rostelecom in cooperation with Дом.РФ Bank. The issue was structured in the form of monetary claims with the possibility of subsequent circulation on the area of the exchange operator in the amount of 200 million rubles.
This issue was structured in the form of monetary claims with the possibility of secondary circulation on the platform of the exchange operator of the Moscow Exchange. The volume of production amounted to 200 million rubles, with a four-day circulation period and an annual rate of 15.26%.
In addition, Rostelecom issued a CFA on the Atomais platform in the amount of 4.6 million rubles, which at the time of placement corresponded to the company's accounts payable under one of the contracts.[1]
2023: Rostelecom placed digital financial assets worth 750 million rubles for investors
Rostelecom placed digital financial assets (CFA) on the Alfa-Bank platform in the form of a monetary claim for 750 million rubles. The press service of the Russian telecommunications operator announced this on April 14, 2023.
Rostelecom has issued digital financial assets for corporate and private investors. CFAs are placed for a period of 90 days and a fixed interest income of 9% per annum. The issue took place on the platform of Alfa-Bank "A-Token," where the bank also acted as a consultant and organizer. Among the investors of the placement are large commercial banks, including Alfa-Bank, legal entities and individuals.
In February 2023, Alfa-Bank announced the launch of its own A-Token platform to work with digital financial assets. The platform allows you to place free liquidity or participate in raising capital of companies to all categories of investors - individuals, financial institutions and professional market participants. In the same month, the bank conducted a trial issue of its own digital financial assets for 10 million rubles for a pilot group of private investors.
Rostelecom "closely monitors the development of existing and the emergence of new instruments to attract financing in order to ensure the balance, stability and flexibility of its debt portfolio in the long term," says Sergey Anokhin, First Vice President and Financial Director of Rostelecom. - The placement of digital financial assets on Alfa-Bank's platform is an opportunity for us to try out a new innovative instrument, which in the future may become in demand and occupy a significant share in the Russian debt market, providing attractive conditions for borrowers both through quick and direct access to end investors and for institutional investors themselves, as well as, importantly, private investors and creditors.[2] |
