2023: Product Announcement

In early January 2023, the American non-profit health care system Allina Health, based in Minneapolis (Minnesota), announced a partnership agreement with Qventus to improve the efficiency of operating rooms. We are talking about the use of specialized means based on artificial intelligence to increase the volume of surgical operations and reduce the burden on personnel.

Experts say that the traditional approach to operating room management has not changed for 20-30 years. Meanwhile, as the results of various studies show, such blocks account for up to 40% of the expenses of medical institutions and up to 70% of income. Therefore, improving the efficiency of operating rooms is crucial in terms of improving the financial performance of hospitals. This is especially true in the current macroeconomic situation and in the context of the crisis, which affected, among other things, the medical sphere.

The Allina Health Network has implemented an intelligent solution called Open Table for Surgery Scheduling - "Open Table for Operations Planning." It is an automated system to distribute processes and maximize the use of available resources. The solution integrates with electronic medical records and uses machine learning-based algorithms as well as behavioral science to achieve new levels of efficiency in operational departments.

Thanks to the new AI platform, it became possible to increase the number of operations performed by an average of 3.5 procedures per month during the first four months after the deployment of the solution. The effectiveness of the use of surgical robotics has increased. In addition, the planning of operations and working hours of medical workers has been greatly simplified.[1]
