In mid-April 2023, it became known about the creation of the first Russian mixed reality glasses. In the future, they will be able to replace modern smartphones. We are talking about the development of SKADI Technologies from St. Petersburg Mining University.

According to RIA Novosti about the reference to the operator of the acceleration programs of the Platform of the National Technological Initiative (NTI). It is known that glasses can be used in industrial enterprises, in medicine and education. They are based on technology, thanks to which rays passing through a special translucent mirror are reflected at an angle of 90 degrees directly into the human eye.

Using the movement of the fingers and various gestures, a person can control the user interface of the glasses operating system. Such a combination of real and digital worlds contributes to a more efficient immersion in the working environment, and all the necessary information appears before the user's eyes, "said a representative of SKADI Technologies.

According to him, such a control system will allow the use of glasses in various areas - from industrial safety to finding the necessary information on the Internet. It is reported that there are three versions of glasses with a different number of screens (a model with one screen, a version with two displays and a device built into the helmet), each of which is capable of working for about six hours without recharging.^[1]
