2023: Implementation of the Employee Support Program

On April 17, 2023, the Russian Media Group announced that it had implemented an employee support program from the I Understand corporate well-being platform, 356 employees now have access to the IT platform.

Employees of the media holding within the framework of the support program can receive advice from psychologists, lawyers, financial specialists, coaches, as well as seek support from OZH and fitness consultants, sign up for a session with awareness trainers and talk with experts on pet care. Employee support programs (PPPs) have long gone beyond psychological assistance only, it is the integrated approach to the well-being of workers that positively affects their mental health, contributes to increasing their productivity and involvement in the workflow.

The experience of our platform shows that fixed support programs have become ineffective in increasing staff motivation. Engagement grows if the employee determines what he or she will use. 2022 turned out to be a busy year, in particular, it was not easy for the employees of our group of companies, who, due to their professional activities, were the first to face the news agenda. In 2023, we decided to focus on caring for the emotional and physical health of the team, so we introduced a special support program. For the first pilot month of using the service, consultations with psychologists became the leading support area. But at the same time, employees turn to specialists of all directions. They are satisfied with the service, the average consultation rating says this - 5 out of 5, - commented on the general director of the Russian Media Group Liubov Malyarevskaya.

Most often, media holding employees discuss their anxieties and fears with psychologists. They are also concerned about issues of interpersonal relationships and problems related to stress at work. The second most popular area of ​ ​ support is legal advice. Meetings with healthy lifestyle experts are actively gaining momentum: specialists help employees deal with nutrition, advise on topics of increasing efficiency and normalizing sleep.

The implementation of PPP allows you to reduce staff turnover, reduce the level of absentism (missing work without a valid reason) and presenteeism (re-working), as well as create a favorable moral climate in the team. As part of the support program, an employee can come to an online meeting with the consultant he needs without informing management. He will get help and be able to resolve his problem. You can sign up for the session on any day convenient for the employee and choose the right time for consultation.
