The MTS ecosystem on April 18, 2023 announced that MTS SOC specialists provided monitoring of 24x7 IT systems of the TV Center TV channel. The cybersecurity incident control project was implemented by MTS RED together with the# CloudMTS provider.

To counter potential hacks, the MTS expert team performs round-the-clock monitoring of IT systems. MTS SOC uses technologies for detecting and analyzing information security events, responds to cyber incidents and gives recommendations for countering. In addition, MTS RED regularly scans the external perimeter of the TV Center infrastructure for vulnerabilities.

Due to the difficult foreign policy situation and the refusal of manufacturers of equipment and information security software from unfriendly countries from their obligations, the company's management decided to expand measures to counter threats to IT systems. In accordance with this, the corresponding proposals presented on the Russian market were analyzed, and SOC from MTS RED was selected for piloting in terms of a set of qualitative and cost characteristics. The experience gained as part of the test implementation made it possible to more accurately determine the perimeter of information security and confirmed the high expertise of SOC analysts. As a result, this solution was introduced into commercial operation, which made it possible to timely respond to threats and attract, if any, competent information security engineers of MTS RED, - commented on the project in the TV Center.

The results of the pilot project formed the basis of the agreement, according to which MTS SOC analysts will protect the channel from cyber attacks by applying preventive and reactive cybersecurity measures. The area of ​ ​ responsibility of MTS SOC includes control of vulnerabilities in the external perimeter of the customer's infrastructure, as well as monitoring cybersecurity incidents and issuing recommendations for countering.
