2023: Microscope Presentation
On April 19, 2023, Schwabe introduced a microscope with a stereoscopic documentation system.
The upgraded microscope is equipped with VR glasses and a system that allows you to save and analyze stereoscopic images in digital format.
Specialists of the Lytkarinsky Optical Glass Plant (LZOS) of the holding equipped a microscope MBS-10M a software and hardware complex for stereoscopic documentation and visualization.
The development of LZOS is distinguished from standard laboratory microscopes by the ability to form a picture, creating a virtual image volume. Thanks to this method, it is possible to obtain more detailed data on the structure of the studied objects by observing them in a three-dimensional plane. For the convenience of the user, the MBS-10M is equipped with VR glasses, to which the received information is transmitted.
This complex more fully reveals the possibilities of microscopes of the MBS series in medicine, biology, geology, mineralogy, archeology and other industries. Due to high-quality optics and electronics, the user can document and analyze images both in the standard flat field format and in digital stereoscopic mode, - said Lev Borisov, Deputy General Director of Schwabe. |
To conduct the study, the sample of interest is placed on a subject table, then images are taken and processed. After that, the volumetric data is available for observation in VR glasses. Thanks to the technology, the user is also able to store stereoscopic images of the test sample.
