Main article: Fraud Detection System

BI.ZONE AntiFraud is an adaptive cross-channel fraud prevention system. It provides transactional and in-session analytics with threat data from multiple sources. The product is suitable for banking systems and online services.

2025

Add boxed option for self-deployment

An updated version of the cross-channel fraud prevention system BI.ZONE AntiFraud has been released, which will help companies strengthen protection against growing fraud activity. A boxed version of the solution has been added, the rule designer has been improved and integration with AI models has been expanded. BI.Zone announced this on June 26, 2025.

Businesses and banks need tools to respond quickly to cyber threats. According to the Bank of Russia, in the first 3 months of 2025, the attackers managed to steal 6.9 billion rubles. In 2024, the volume of funds stolen by fraudsters reached a record 27.5 billion rubles, which is 74% more than a year earlier, while the bulk of the funds were stolen from individuals. Criminals most actively acted through online translation channels.

The BI.ZONE AntiFraud update aims to quickly identify new attack scenarios without losing performance.

This release adds a boxed version for self-deployment. If earlier the installation required a phased configuration of each service with the participation of BI.ZONE engineers, now the whole process is reduced to launching several installation packages. This significantly reduces the costs and implementation time of the on-prem model.

Keycloak authorization is implemented - an enterprise access control service. Employees can use their corporate credentials to log in, making it faster to connect new users and easier to manage rights.

The mechanism for creating and checking rules has been completely redesigned. Now the technical specialist does not need to know the exact names of attributes or functions: the system automatically prompts input options in Russian or English. There was also testing of new rules for retrospective data: you can assess in advance their correctness and effectiveness in detecting fraud.

The BI.ZONE AntiFraud update made it easier to work with artificial intelligence models. Previously, their configuration required the participation of BI.ZONE specialists. Now there is a convenient interface where engineers use ready-made solutions or load their own based on the XGBoost algorithm. This accelerates the automation of fraud prevention.

The optimization of the process of writing events to the database has also been improved by reducing the number of services and relationships between them. The storage subsystem has become more fault-tolerant, and work when processing large amounts of information is more stable.

Integration with BI.Zone Brand Protection

BI.ZONE Antifraud and the BI.Zone Brand Protection platform now work in conjunction to combat phishing pages that target certain companies and their users. BI.Zone reported this on June 18, 22025.

The integration of solutions made it possible to quickly identify attacks and strengthen the protection of organizations from financial losses and data theft.

The session module BI.ZONE Antifraud monitors referrers - web pages from which users switch to protected resources, such as payment services. If this resource is not in the trusted list, it is automatically passed to the BI.ZONE Brand Protection command for analysis.

The platform checks the referral on white and black lists and using automated tools searches for phishing signs in page content, favicons, site structure, branding details and other site elements. If the system finds suspicious signals, the link is sent to manual check. BI.ZONE Brand Protection specialists quickly analyze the detected resource and send phishing sites for blocking. 89% phishing domains in the.ru zone are blocked 24 hours from the moment they are sent.

Integration allows you to identify and block not only massive threats, but also those that are attacks practically inaccessible to traditional security tools. Solutions can find and block 300-500 monthly domains with short-lived targeted phishing links created specifically to bypass security mechanisms. At the same time, for each such incident, an evidence base is formed, which is necessary for quickly blocking domains and hostingproviders registrars.

2023

Improved fraudulent transaction recognition and reduced hardware load

September 25, 2023 BI.ZONE introduced the updated BI.ZONE AntiFraud solution with improved recognition fraudulent transactions and reduced load on. hardware

The updated Offline Testing and Continue Processing functions  will help more effectively identify known fraudulent schemes and never before used, as well as reduce the load on hardware.

The number of transactions continues to grow, and with it the number of stolen money from bank accounts. According to statistics   from the national payment system, in the first quarter of 2023 alone, the number of transactions more than doubled compared to the same period in 2022. And the volume of stolen money increased by almost 30% compared to the average values of 2022 and amounted to 4.5 billion rubles. The attackers stole the most money through transfers using online banking.

Our main goal was to increase the number of recognized fraud scenarios - both already implemented and potentially possible. We aimed to improve the convenience of working with the rules and the accuracy of their operation and at the same time reduce the load on the hardware. The functions of the BI.ZONE AntiFraud fraud system made it possible to solve both problems: the effectiveness of identifying not only known, but also previously unused fraud schemes has increased. It was also possible to reduce the load on the "iron,"
noted Alexey Luzhnov, head of the BI.ZONE anti-fraud department.

Offline Testing allows you to create a test offline environment based on transactions that have already been completed. Each rule and calculation can be safely tested in such an environment, and if their effectiveness is confirmed, begin to be applied in real conditions. Test scenarios can also be applied to cases that have not yet been implemented, but potentially possible, which increases the level of security in general.

The second function, Continue Processing, extends the transaction processing mechanism. Typically, anti-fraud systems check a transaction against a list of rules, each of which has its own priority. If the priority rule has already worked, then the lower priorities are skipped.

Once the Continue Processing feature is implemented, the system will continue to check the transaction against the remaining rules, even if the higher priority of the rules works. This will help the customer gain a more accurate understanding of the transaction and adjust the settings that can cause false positives. BI.ZONE AntiFraud functions also include blocking multiple fraudulent accounts, preventing compromise of accounts, compliance with 167-FZ and 161-FZ], simplification authorizations for legitimate users, preventing the use of stolen accounts, protection from -. boatattacks

Integration of Session and Transaction Modules

BI.ZONE introduced an updated version of the fraud prevention system on April 20, 2023.

In the updated version of the system, a deep integration session and transaction modules appeared. This helps protect customers from attacks based on their behavioral model, such as using. malicious software Buhtrap In addition, updates will allow you to configure predictors from one system, speeding up the implementation of rules and detections to timely counter fraudulent activity. Also, BI.ZONE AntiFraud has improved its own, and SDK now the detection of remote control of the client device works even more efficiently.

In 2023, the company plans to add several more updates to BI.ZONE AntiFraud. All this will help optimize the financial and time costs of customers, as well as make a closed loop system out of BI.ZONE AntiFraud, where all stages of working with a transaction can be done internally. So, the user of the system will be able to accept the operation, process it, conduct an investigation and, if necessary, initiate research on old data.
