2023: Parallel Order Build Launch

On April 26, 2023, SberMarket announced that it had developed and implemented a technology for parallel assembly of orders in all cities of its presence: from Kaliningrad to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Thanks to this build format, the service reduces the order picking time, and customers receive the necessary products within the specified time.

Parallel assembly of orders is carried out in planned delivery - when the user chooses a convenient day and time period. First, "smart" algorithms process incoming orders: analyze the volume and weight of goods, select those online baskets that can be connected to a single time window for assembly. Next, in the Shopper mobile application, in which collectors and couriers receive and process orders, an offer comes to complete two orders at the same time. Then the collector collects two baskets in parallel, taking into account the rules of packaging and commodity neighborhood. For convenience, orders in the application are divided by color - green and blue.

This technology improves the logistics of assemblers. Previously, to complete one order, you had to go to the trading floor, bypass the necessary departments, and then go to the ticket office and packaging areas. Now, thanks to parallel assembly, collectors save time and collect two orders for the same route. This technology has already been launched in more than 500 retail outlets of Magnit, Lenta Online, Globus, METRO and O'KEY.

{{quote 'author = said Vladimir Kamionko, Operations Director of SberMarket. | We are constantly improving business processes so that couriers and collectors quickly collect and deliver orders, and residents and guests of our country go through a "seamless" client path. Already at the first stage of the launch of the new technology, 35% of orders in planned delivery are collected in parallel. At the same time, the order picking time is reduced by 10%. Collectors now collect more orders per shift and thus increase their remuneration. In addition, the parallel assembly of orders helps us to better comply with the delivery time promised to the customer,}}
