The Korzinka supermarket chain, a representative of the retail market in Uzbekistan, is transforming the processes based on data-driven dynamic pricing SmartPricing. MyRetailStrategy announced this on April 27, 2023.

In 2022, the main work on updating SAP S4/HANA was completed, which made it possible to improve the quality of business, increased the transparency of key processes and their management.

The data-driven dynamic pricing system is scheduled for 2023.

This will support the price positioning of the network, retain gross income, increase the level of customer loyalty and promotional activities.

As part of the project, in September 2022, piloting of the main modules and functions of the SmartPricing system began:

  • Regular pricing;
  • Competitive pricing;
  • Basket management and KVI optimization;
  • Pricing of new products and CTOs;
  • Price optimization based on elasticity and probabilities;
  • Manage events and revaluations.

Additionally, within the framework of the project, the following were performed:

  • assessment of the level of automation of pricing processes,
  • assessment of the reduction of labor costs on the part of the commercial unit,
  • estimation of the reduction of the number of errors related to the human factor,
  • Integration with SAP ERP and SAP CAR solutions

Piloting was carried out at a limited number of outlets and on a limited assortment - groceries, household chemicals, baby food, drinks and juices, fermented milk products.

The key sales parameters in the pilot outlets were compared with the sales parameters of the control outlets.

In January 2023, the pilot project was completed.

The results were found to be positive and the management of the Korzinka supermarket chain decided to scale the pilot in order to confirm the positive effect at more outlets and product categories.

At the same time, it is planned to integrate the system into the IT structure.
