Yaroslavl Motor Plant automated the warehouse at LEAD WMS and reduced overtime by 72%

As part of the task of modernizing the workshop for the production of engines and components for them, the Yaroslavl Motor Plant completely changed its approach to the storage system and created a technological warehouse for receiving, storing and shipping finished and intermediate products based on the LEAD WMS warehouse management system from LogistiX Group of Companies, which announced this on May 2, 2023.

As a result of the implementation of the system, the company achieved an increase in the productivity of storekeepers by 19%, a decrease in overtime work by 72% (while the packaging and shipping plan did not decrease, on average, it increased by about 10% over the period), as well as a reduction in the consumption of packaging material by 3.4%. In addition, the timing of the inventory decreased by 6 times, the problem of re-sorting was eliminated, the general culture of production increased and dependence on the human factor decreased.

During the implementation of the project, LogistiX Group of Companies ensured the integration of LEAD WMS with the customer's ERP and automated the key business processes of the plant warehouse, such as:

• External processing of documents and their creation on the basis of integration exchanges
• control of products at the stage of acceptance, including sorting by storage points, placement, inventory process and internal movements;
• transport Shipment control, including article reservation, assembly, and inspection during the shipment phase.
