2023: Product Announcement
On May 1, 2023, the American company Masimo announced the innovative Stork system (Stork), designed for remote monitoring of a child. The complex provides video monitoring, voice communication and tracking of vital signs of the infant's body.
The novelty is available in several versions. The maximum configuration of Masimo Stork Vitals + includes a special boot with sensors, a high-resolution video camera and an accompanying mobile application. The boot is made of ultra-soft medical silicone, which is delicately attached to the child's skin. This product is available in three sizes to ensure a good fit. Moreover, the shoe can "grow" with the baby - up to 18 months. Integrated sensors, the design of which is based on many years of experience in the field of newborn health, are designed to determine the level of blood oxygen saturation (SpO2), measure the heart rate and body temperature of the child. At the same time, very high accuracy and reliability values are achieved.
The camera from the kit supports the transmission of a video sequence in 2K QHD format. Night vision mode is implemented. In addition, two-way voice communication is possible, so that adults will be able to talk to their baby from anywhere where there is access to. The Internet sensors built into the camera make it possible to monitor the microclimate indoors - measure temperature, humidity and noise levels.
Data from a smart boot and camera is transferred to a mobile application. Parents will be able to view current indicators and averages, assess trends, receive recommendations, etc. Masimo Stork kits by early May 2023 are available for order from $249 to $549, depending on the modification.[1]
