2023: GSSh-A-18M

On May 11, 2023, Octava announced that it had imported substitutes for audio headsets that are used in civil aviation. The modernized headset GSSh-A-18M Tula production provides high-quality sound reception and transmission even at an increased noise level and allows you to abandon the use of acoustic equipment from foreign suppliers in domestic aircraft.

As reported, the upgraded headset with medium noise protection of the Octava GSSh-A-18M is designed to work with on-board aircraft communications equipment. The device receives and transmits voice information at increased sound interference up to 120 dB. The optimal level of noise reduction of the device is the result of the use of specially shaped plugs. In addition, the headset has improved speech intelligibility.

As of May 2023, the Octave has established a full production cycle for the manufacture of model GSSh-A-18M aircraft carnitures, about 2,000 units are produced per year. The devices of the Tula plant are functional, comfortable to use. In terms of their characteristics, they are not inferior to samples of foreign production, such as, for example, David Clark, while they are completely made of domestic materials and components.
