Sberbank announced equipment procurement and services of Cisco for 2.75 billion rubles

2017: Equipment procurement and services of Cisco for $46.5 million

Sberbank is going to buy the equipment Cisco together with maintenance services for $46.5 million (2.75 billion rubles). The corresponding tender is announced on August 18, 2017.^[1]

Sberbank will sign the two-year general agreement on delivery of products of Cisco

Specific product names of the American producer are not specified. During the auction the bank expects to receive the best discount for the price list Cisco Systems. At the same time, initial discounts within the tender make: 27.8% - on the equipment; 56.9% - on service of maintenance Smartnet.

Based on an auction with the supplier the general agreement for a period of 2 years without obligations of purchases in full will be signed. Under the terms of bank, the necessary equipment will have to be supplied within 8-10 weeks from signature date of the specification to the agreement.

The results of an auction should be summed up at the end of December, 2017.

2015: Equipment procurement and services of Cisco for $30 million

In the fall of 2015 Sberbank summed up the quotation request results at the choice of the organization for the conclusion of the general agreement on supply of equipment of Cisco and the packaged Smartnet service.

The Importtelekom company which offered to bank a discount for the equipment of 72.09% of the price list Cisco, and for service - 35.75% became the winner.

Also OCS and Marvel companies participated in a request (through the legal person Marvis).

^[2] Sberbank announced a quotation request in May, 2015. The maximum price of the agreement calculated on one year is $30 million (1.56 billion rubles at the rate of currencies for May 29).

The specification of the equipment which Sberbank expects to receive within the agreement in procurement documentation is not specified. Sberbank explained TAdviser that the quotation request is carried out without requirement, for determination of the best discount for the equipment and the packaged service from the price list GPL in the territory of the Russian Federation on all line of telecommunication equipment of production Cisco. With the winner of a quotation request the general agreement without obligation of purchases in full will be signed.

Earlier the bank already carried out similar purchases^[3]. In March, for example, according to the results of such request Sberbank signed with Merlion the annual agreement on supply of equipment of IBM DataPower with support for the total amount of $11.7 million.

As then explained in Sberbank, during action of the general agreement bank, including all its Russian branches, as required will be able to place separate orders for acquisition of IBM DataPower at the fixed prices. At the same time such format of arrangements does not oblige Sberbank to redeem all equipment in full of the maximum cost of the agreement. Warranty obligations of the supplier are also expected one year, however this term will begin to be calculated from the moment of signing of the delivery and acceptance certificate of products.

Earlier in 2015 Sberbank signed general agreements on supply of equipment of other large vendors - IBM, Oracle, HP, EMS and Hitachi

The Cisco Smartnet service which is purchased within the general agreement provides a possibility of the round-the-clock access to experts of the center of technical support of Cisco, the offer on replacement of the equipment, including replacement within 2 hours, 4 hours or the next working day, OS software updates. Also within a packet intellectual preventive diagnostics and transfer of warnings in real time is offered.

In addition to the specified purchase Sberbank in parallel carries out one more^[4] – on receiving services of pro-active support (NOS) and reactive support (FTS) of the equipment and Cisco technologies. It is carried out as purchase at the only source – Cisco Solutions. The maximum price of this contract is 236 million rubles.

It should be noted, in addition to Cisco and IBM at the beginning of 2015 Sberbank also held a series of competitions^[5] for delivery of the server hardware and DWHof Oracle,HP,EMS and Hitachi. According to the results of all these tenders the conclusion of general agreements for two years is provided. Together with equipment procurement of IBM, the total amount of these agreements is about $1 billion.
